BRS Cleaners are excited to have been awarded the contract for carrying out the Builders clean of ministry of defence accommodation in Lyneham, Wiltshire for Caledonian Modular Ltd.
Caledonian Modular are the UK’s leading offsite construction specialist. Caledonian specialises in the design, manufacture and construction of permanent buildings using offsite volumetric techniques.
Operating from their 40 acre manufacturing and head office site in the East Midlands, Caledonian has the largest single-site volumetric manufacturing capability in the UK offsite building industry.They deliver permanent buildings for the education, residential and hotel sectors, as well as custodial, military and student accommodation, offices and retail outlets.
Caledonian is a primary provider of permanent buildings for the Ministry of Defence and has specific expertise in the design and construction of high quality single living accommodation for service personnel.
The Lyneham site is a Kier and Balfour Beatty joint venture MOD site and consists of 12 buildings, 1039 studios in total. Our contract involves Builders and Sparkle cleans to all studios, shared communal kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, lounges, entrances, lobbies and reception/concierge areas. We are looking forward to working with Caledonian who are a new client and are also pleased to be working on a Kier/Balfour Beatty site and hope to learn a lot from the experience which will help us going forward as we continue to grow and take on larger projects.
As the site is an MOD site, security checks were intensive and high standards paramount. All of our cleaners on site have undergone full disclosure checks and attended asbestos awareness training courses prior to commencing works. Detailed site-specific RAMS have been submitted and approved by the main contractors and our staff have passed their rigorous induction procedures.
The first part of our Builders clean commenced in July 2015.
