With the ISO 9001 audits booked in, we were determined to pass them, regardless of how busy we were with other tasks. Although this period has been extremally busy undertaking many new jobs on board, we are delighted to announce that we passed our Stage 2 audit this week and as a result, BRS are now an ISO 9001 certified cleaning company.
When the Covid-19 lockdown commenced, we decided to use the time positively and to get to work on one of our goals for 2020 – ISO 9001 certification. Despite the lockdown, it has actually been quite a busy time for us and our office team have worked really hard to adapt.
ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management system standard. We achieved our certification with the British Assessment Bureau, who are UKAS accredited. Click here to read more about the British Assessment Bureau. Certification via a UKAS accredited provider is the highest version of ISO available, and the most challenging to obtain. Not only did we pass our audit, but we passed it with flying colours – with no major or minor non-conformances at all which is a fantastic achievement.
The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and collaboration of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 will enable BRS to ensure that our clients continue to receive a consistent and high quality service.
It is the standard required in order to work for Government institutions and contractors, and in recent months, we have seen it stipulated as a prerequisite in Pre-Qualification questionnaires for potential clients.
